ÎåÒ»²è¹Ý¶ù Announces Partnership with the School Town of Munster
to Provide 24/7 Unlimited Tutoring for Students in Grades 6–12

Partnership Ensures On-Demand Access to Academic Support for Every Learner

NEW YORK, September 23, 2022 /— ÎåÒ»²è¹Ý¶ù, one of the world's largest online tutoring organizations, announced today that it has been selected by the School Town of Munster to provide 24/7, unlimited online tutoring for every 6–12 student in the district at no cost to families.

Through the partnership, 2,600 students will gain on-demand access to 1-to-1 expert tutoring, test prep, concept review, and homework help in 180 subjects, including many in Spanish. The district, already a partner of ÎåÒ»²è¹Ý¶ù’s affiliate company The Princeton Review®, sought to expand the academic support available to learners.

“We are delighted to help Munster students achieve their next-step educational goals,” said Sandi White, SVP, Institutional Partnerships, ÎåÒ»²è¹Ý¶ù/The Princeton Review. “Individualized support on demand makes a world of difference for student success, and we are honored to help Munster students accomplish ambitious goals in middle school, high school, and beyond.”

The district aims to support not only students, but teachers and families too. In addition to encouraging learners to access 1-to-1 tutoring after school hours, Munster leaders and ÎåÒ»²è¹Ý¶ù trainers are leading professional development sessions to help teachers expand the individualized, differentiated support they provide during the school day, as well.

“Our mission is to help students demonstrate academic growth and social responsibility in a supportive and intellectually challenging learning environment,” said Bret Heller, Superintendent, School Town of Munster. “We believe this partnership helps us to achieve that mission and vision, and to support all of our students in grades 6–12.”

Heller and other leaders from School Town of Munster, a District of National Distinction, are dedicated to ensuring that all district students can access individualized academic support. The district has adopted the , which emphasize continuous improvement, high expectations, and a focus on results. In particular, district leaders did not want family income to be a determining factor in the availability of academic support. They identified ÎåÒ»²è¹Ý¶ù as a solution to support middle and high school students equitably, and they further made sure that students’ access would be unlimited.

With ÎåÒ»²è¹Ý¶ù, the wait time to connect with a live tutor is about one minute. Students may opt to engage with their tutors via two-way text-chat or voice, so they can choose the format most comfortable for them. Sessions take place in an interactive online classroom, which includes whiteboard, text and coding screens, graph paper and graphing calculator, and a wide range of tools. Sessions are recorded for quality review, and students can replay prior sessions at any time.

In addition, students may drop off their written work and receive detailed feedback from an expert tutor within a day. The platform also provides access to self-guided resources, including AP® videos and SAT®/ACT®Essentials courses from The Princeton Review.

The School Town of Munster will track student use of the program and work with the ÎåÒ»²è¹Ý¶ù team to ensure learners are getting the most out of the service.

“We are thrilled to expand our support for Munster students this year,” said White. “We share the district’s commitment to providing unlimited, equitable support for every student—and we are honored to be a part of their plan for continued achievement.”
